There's a story behind every piece of bodywork
we offer here at AirTECH. The story behind our acquisition of
this 69-70 Honda CR 750 stuff is a particularly interesting
one. Every once in a while we stumble across some old molds
for vintage racing machines.
As it happens, Air Tech's founder Kent Riches
came into possession of some Greasy Dick Kilgore molds made
by his company, Fibercraft, back in the late 60's and early
70's. These particular molds turned out to be from a CR 750.
In his time, Greasy Dick was known to walk around the pits and
borrow parts. He'd then walk around the corner and make a mold
of them before returning them. In this case, the story goes
Greasy Dick borrowed Dick Mann's 69' road race gas tank and
bodywork, popped out of sight and promptly made molds of the
stuff. Being curious, we checked into it, looked inside the
molds and compared what we saw to old pictures from the race.
The striping that was indented in the molds was identical to
the striping on Mann's gas tank for the famous 69' Daytona 200
race.
Our conclusion is that these parts are exact replicas of the
69' Dick Mann CR 750. Cool, huh? We've got gas tanks, several
seats, and a fairing assembly.
These body panels will fit on a 69'-72'
CB750 SOHC (Single Overhead Cam) street bike with a little modification.
Wouldn't that be neat? Whether you are restoring
a CR, or want to cafe race an old street bike, this is unquestionably
the most appropriate and classic stuff you could possibly want.
We make more parts for the Honda CB
750! We have several seat options for both K & F models,
SOHC and DOHC. Check out our vintage
seats pages for more seat options. There is a nice bubble
seat that actually uses the stock latches and flips up, and
a F-series race tail as well! A few other seats can be fitted
to the CB chassis no problem. You'll find some cafe tanks, quarter
fairings and fenders as well!

CR7501
Full fairing
What we have here is an exact replica of the kit fairing assembly
that Honda offered for the CB750’s. This classic one-piece
race fairing assembly is extremely popular for vintage conversions.
A tall fairing assembly works well with most street bike chassis;
the open belly pan at the bottom allows you to adjust the width
of the bottom. You can suck the fairing in real tight if you are
installing on a 350 or 450 twin or spread it out wide if you are
putting it on a 6 cylinder CBX. This is a very versatile and universal
fairing assembly for a lot of applications. This is the classis
café fairing that you need for your conversion.

CR7501D
Oil Cooler Ducts
This is a "Works" part that was not available through
the Honda CR kit part numbers. If you look at pictures closely
enough at the ’69 Daytona Bike you’ll see these two
D shaped holes in the upper section of the fairing below the handlebars.
Those holes were cut in the side of the fairing to evacuate the
air out of the oil cooler, mounted onto the front forks. These
duct assemblies were put behind the oil coolers and then sucked
air out of the sides of the fairing to make the oil cooler more
efficient. These are very rare, non-stock Honda pieces that are
now made available to you. Call our sales reps and get a pair
of them today!

CR7502F
Race Tail
What we have here is a factory style of tail section that was
only available on some Honda factory prepared race bikes in Europe
and Australia. Slightly different bubble shape than the kit tail
section or the works tail section. This is a pretty cool seat
and will work on a lot of other motorcycles.

|
CR7502K
Race Tail
This is an exact replica of the kit style race tail that was available
through your Honda dealers when you converted your CB750 into
a CR racer. This very short seat works only with our long road
racing style fuel tank, it would just be too short to work with
the stock CB gas tank. Actually it would work but it would look
goofy with a big gap between the front of the seat and the back
of the gas tank, so you might want to consider getting one of
our CR gas tanks to complete your café conversion.

CR7502KUP
Upholstery Pan
What we have here is a fiberglass seat pan that fits our CR7502K
kit race tail section. Simply mount your tail section onto your
chassis, place our upholstery pan onto your tail section, and
position for mounting boltholes. Drill a couple of mounting bolt
holes and position epoxy the short small bolds onto your seat
pan, then take this pan to your local auto upholstery place to
have them upholster it for you. This is a must have if you want
to finish off your CR replica race bike.

CR7502W
Race Tail
This is the works style of tail section, and this tail section
is the exact original style of tail section that was on the Dick
Mann 1969 Daytona road race motorcycle. So if you’re building
and exact Dick Mann replica this is the tail section that you
need! Call one of our sales reps today!

CR7503
Fuel Tank
This is an exact replica of the CR750 fuel tank that fits the
CB750 chassis. It slides over the rubber bungs in the font and
has a single mount in the rear. The fuel tank comes with a 3/8ths
bung in the bottom for a fuel petcock and comes with a chrome
twist off gas cap.
Please note! This gas tank
is not recommended for street use, this is a fiberglass gas tank
that will not dent. In the event of a crash, the gas tank
may rupture and spill fuel possibly catching your motorcycle on
fire. This gas tank is recommended for racing purposes, with racing
fuel only! Read more...

CR7503M
Fuel Tank Modified
This fuel tank is identical in exterior appearance to our CR7503
fuel tank; the only difference is that the bottom tunnel has been
highly modified for use on other Honda chassis. The lower sump
in the rear has been removed and a tunnel has been widened considerably
to fit into other various press steel chassis. This tank will
actually fit any SOHC four cylinder CB (CB 350, 400, 500, 550,
750 SOHC). This is a pretty universal fuel tank and would fit
on almost anything. Ask your sales rep if it will fit your specific
application.

CR7504
Front Fender
This is the front blade that replaces the steel front
fender. Honda engineers designed the front forks on your motorcycle
to work with that heavy steel brace on the front. Do not run your
front forks without the steel brace, severe wobbling will occur.
Simply take your stock fender and drill rivets out to remove the
steel fender from the fork brace and the front and rear hoops
and reattach this fender onto your steel hardware. This lightweight
fiberglass piece actually takes a lot of weight off your front
fork assembly and helps the suspension reaction and makes your
bike handle better.

CR7505
Bracket Kit
This is a quick bracket kit assembly where you can make up to
mount the CR7501 fairing assembly onto a CB chassis. This bracket
kit is not an exact replica of the CR brackets, but simply one
that aids you in mounting a race fairing onto your CB chassis.
Save yourself a lot of time, aggravation, and fabrication your
own and get our brackets today.
